ezjail is using its own config as you can see in man and howtos. The ezjail rc script is setting jail_* variables from its own configs and is calling the generic jail command (jail rc script) with onestart after setting the variables. So no need for jail_enable, just for ezjail_enable. The warning is because it will be obsolete in the future to use the variables. That is very, very sad in my view....
